A Lab experiment is a test performed in a controlled setting with the aim of measuring two variables.

Positivists tend to use lab experiments because of high reliability.


BANDURA (1961) measured how violent children could be through imitation. Although his findings were widely well accepted, an ethical issue arose about whether children could give informed consent.
